As the sun sets glowing red, purple and gold along the pristine foothills of Alberta the beauty of the scene is punctuated by the chatter and howls of the beloved song dog, Canis Latrans, the Coyote. Aboriginal stories of Coyote are wrought with tales of their mischievousbehaviour and amazing ability to adapt.

The ebb and flow of Mother Nature’s internal clock is one deserving of our admiration, respect and attention. Countless mammals, reptiles, birds and amphibians perish every year during their daily course of activities
Coyote sat atop the cliff and jealously watch as Crow floated and soared above him. Crow’s magnificent, strong wings glistened in the sun with sparkles of feathers so black they appeared blue. The swooshing sound was deafening as they pushed against the air in the process of keeping Crow aloft.
Cassandra Robertson was looking for her missing cat when she found the first victim. Before dying, the coyote had chewed off some of its leg. Her shock turned to disgust when she found a live raccoon in another trap.
